Find out how thermotherapy works

Thermotherapy consists in the application of heat to certain areas of the body during sessions lasting from 10 minutes to half an hour (the time may vary depending on the technique used and the area to be treated). It should be borne in mind that heat applies a therapeutic and relaxing effect, but if it’s not controlled or applied excessively it can cause dizziness and decrease in tension.

Warm Treatment

The right combination

A combination of simple materials that, inside our patch, are activated in the presence of oxygen, thus creating the heat necessary to be transmitted to the inflamed muscle mass, relieving pain.

How is it activated?

Heat is generated when the patch is exposed to the air.
The micro-holes present on the fabric of the patch control the flow of oxygen that enters and keep the temperature constant.
Therefore, a special film is used as an outer bag that blocks air circulation.

・ Protects the patch
・ Protects from oxygen in the air when not in use.

This therapy, thanks to our products such as muscle, menstrual, cervical and lumbar fascia is suitable for any part of the body affected by osteoarthritis, arthritis, muscle and joint stiffness, rheumatic myalgia, menstrual pain, back pain and sciatica.

Easy, safe, effective!

Safety first of all

Therapies that administer heat sources can only be considered effective if the heat is supplied correctly and for a long time. In this way it’s necessary that the temperature of the device used for therapy is controlled and constant.

Teradol® provides a constant temperature up to 8 hours around 40 °, the correct temperature to avoid the risk of burns (Low Temperature Burn). The development of heat being gradual and always remaining below the safety threshold (just above the physiological temperature of the body) penetrates the tissues of the muscle mass and therefore activates all those physiological mechanisms that allow a reduction of the inflammatory state.

But what are low-temperature burns?

An important safety feature included in the design of this product is the protection of the skin from low temperature burns.

Generally the protein composition in the skin changes its structure with 42 heat. The main factors affecting the temperature of the skin and body tissues when using the patch are:

– The temperature where the hottest point touches the skin;
– The time the person uses the patch;
(how long the patch touches the skin)
– Transport of heat by blood circulation.

A healthy human body naturally tries to maintain body temperature through the bloodstream. When the skin heats up, it stimulates blood circulation to other areas to equalize the heat, so the human body maintains the appropriate skin temperature and warms the whole body.

Why are our products safe?

Looking at the graph on the side you can see how the skin reacts to various temperatures and when there is a risk of burning at low temperatures. Our products tend to maintain a constant temperature between 39 ° and 42 ° and can give heat for 8 hours or more.
